Dissemination of Findings: Faculty Training Needs Assessment in Health Professions Education in East Africa

Background/Introduction
Despite strong clinical expertise, a number of faculty across East Africa have limited formal training in health professions education (HPE). This needs assessment, conducted among faculty across the region, identified critical gaps in HPE where effort needs to be put so as to improve competency in teaching and learning in our health professions training institutions. This webinar will present key findings from the needs assessment and highlight priority training areas to inform faculty development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of health professions education and healthcare outcomes in the region.
