Tampere ImmunoExcellence (TIE) is a multidisciplinary platform for vaccine-related epidemiologic, public health and immunobiology research at Tampere University. TIE creates a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment for strong preclinical, clinical and post-licensure vaccination-related research, including breakthroughs in understanding the immune system and evaluating the population impact and safety of immunization programs. 

The post-doctoral position will focus on epidemiologic and public health research related to vaccines and vaccination. It is affiliated with the Health Sciences Unit (HES) in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Like all epidemics, it is widening the inequalities that already existed.

The best teacher award for 2020 goes to COVID-19 and as facilitators, we are open to learning, along with our students. As health professionals’ training institutions begin to prepare to open up in Africa, or have actually opened up, this introductory letter seeks your permission to enable your students to participate in an AFREhealth COVID-19 survey for students targeting different African countries. This is imperative to understand the knowledge, attitudes and preparedness of the various health professions’ students at different levels of training towards the COVID-19 pandemic.
