Sarah Kiguli

Sarah Kiguli is a Professor of Paediatrics & Child Health, Makerere University. She hold  a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (Makerere University), Masters of Medicine in Peadiatrics & Child Health (Makerere University), Masters of Health Professions’ Education (University of Maastricht, The Netherlands), and a Fellowship in Advanced Leadership, Medical Education and Research from FAIMER Institute, USA.

She is the Principal Investigator of the HEPI Project: Health Professions Education and Training for Strengthening the Health System and Services In Uganda and the SPARCO Uganda: Strengthening Capacity for Clinical Care, Research & Training in Sickle Cell Disease Projects. She is the Acting Director Quality Assurance Department, Makerere University, Founder Member of Women and Health: Together for the Future Organization (WHTF), Member of the Uganda National Immunization Advisory Team, and Member of the  Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.

Sarah Kiguli served as Head, Department of Paediatrics & Child Health, Chairperson of the Teaching and Learning Committee College of Health Sciences, and  Member of Senate and Council of Makerere University. She is the founding  Chairperson of the East African Association of Health Professions Educationalists (EAHPE), Past Member of the Executive Committee of the Network-Towards Unity for Health (Network-TUFH) representing the Sub-Saharan Region, and has served as  Global Faculty Advisor for the Foundation of Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) Institute, and faculty for the Southern Africa Foundation of Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (SAFRI). She is also a Past President of the Association of Uganda Women Medical Doctors.

During the last 15 years, Prof Sarah Kiguli has focused on advancement of Health Professions Education and Paediatrics & Child HealthClinical Research and Services.
