Visa Information
1. Countries Exempt of Visa to Mozambique
For the Countries listed below the requirements are as follows:
1) Passport expiry date not less than 6 months from the date of departure.
2) Have a return ticket.
3) Proof of Accommodation.
4) Pay a fee of 650 Meticais or 10 USD (bring exact amount).

You’ll use the following link to apply for your visa: https://evisa.gov.mz
Once issued, the visa must be used within 60 days so make sure you aren’t applying to early. The approval process usually takes about a week. Before beginning, make sure you have PDF files of the following documents. You will upload them as part of your application:
* Passport size photo
* Letter from MIHER
* Bank statement showing proof of finances to cover expenses while in Mozambique
* Flight itinerary
* Passport
* Go to the website and create an account – username, password, email address, account type (Individual)
* Check your email for a message from the E-Visa site and click the link to confirm your account. Might have gone to your junk folder.
* Visa type: Business (select this Visa if you are entering Mozambique for the purpose of doing business, research, attend a meeting or participate to oner or our insightful conferences), number of entries will automatically fill in “Multiple”, length of your stay: 30 days (unless you plan on staying longer than a month)
* Passport number and date of issue
* Reason for travel: Participate in the AFREhealth 6th Annual Symposium being held at Centro de Conferencia Joaquim Chissano in Maputo.
* Date of arrival
* Where you will receive your visa: Border
* Location: Aeroporto Mavalane (if you will be flying into Maputo)
* Type of application: Individual
* Respond to the yes/no questions
* Enter your personal information
* Address in Moz – Put the Hotel Address
* Enter your home address and contact info
* Travel mode: airplane, enter your flight number
* Passport type: PN (normal) or PS (service) or PD (Diplomatic)
* Passport type name: Normal
* Enter the remainder of your passport information
Next you will upload the supporting documents:
* Photo
* Proof of accommodation – Hotel Reservation
* Proof of financial means – bank statement
1. Date issued: date on the statement
2. Document number: if it doesn’t exist just put 0
3. Issuing authority: name of bank
* Return ticket – flight itinerary
1. Date issued: date you purchased the ticket
2. Document number: ticket number
3. Issuing authority: airline
* Copy of passport – other fields will populate automatically
* Click submit.
Note:
* It takes about 5 business days to process.
* You should receive an email from the embassy.
* Print the document you receive in your email and bring that with you to Mozambique.
* When you arrive at the Maputo airport, you will present that document along with your passport and the visa fee which is about $120. Make sure you have new, clean bills for the payment.
