Alex Ario

Dr. Alex Ario is a medical doctor and public health specialist with extensive knowledge in epidemiology, health policy, management and planning, health systems reform, and quality improvement models for health service delivery. Doctor Ario has worked in various capacities in the government and non-governmental organizations, including as hospital medical Superintendent, district health officer, and health advisor with the health Sector support program at the Uganda Ministry of Health. Dr. Ario also worked as a care and treatment manager in numerous technical working groups, steering committees, and boards. He is also a reviewer of numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ario is the Program Director of the Uganda National Public Health fellowship program, Lead investigator of PROVE in Uganda, and Director of the Uganda National Institute of Public Health.
