Rodgers Ayebare

Rodgers Ayebare: an accomplished infectious diseases scientist and sepsis clinician. As Senior Project Manager for the Program on Research for COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness, he oversees daily operations and coordinates partners across AU member states. Rodgers worked closely with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to ensure frontline healthcare workers had access to necessary medical countermeasures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rodgers has been actively involved in several research projects, and their work has been published in renowned journals such as the American Journal of Infection Control, PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and AAS Open Research. They have also contributed to book chapters and have been recognized as an Adjunct Scholar at the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases Research and Policy (CEID) at Boston University. With his diverse experience and expertise in infection control, public health emergencies, and healthcare worker training, Rodgers Ayebare remains dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes and capacity building in infectious diseases in Uganda and Africa.
