The Program for Research on Vaccine Effectiveness (PROVE) in Africa


Event Title: A Year in the Making —Sharing Progress and Lessons from Implementing the Saving Lives and Livelihoods Implementation Science Program

Objective:

This pre-conference event aims to bring together investigators from various member states (sites) implementing the Program for Research on Vaccine Effectiveness in Africa (PROVE) to share progress and lessons from the research program. The event also aims to galvanize support from stakeholders, particularly the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), in establishing an Academic Consortium for Health Security in Africa.

Expected Outcomes:

  1. Increased awareness and understanding of the PROVE program and its impact on vaccine effectiveness research.
  2. Enhanced knowledge sharing and cross-country collaboration among PROVE investigators.
  3. Support and commitment from Africa CDC towards establishing the academic consortium for health security.
  4. Strengthened partnerships and networks among researchers, institutions, and stakeholders working towards health security in Africa.
