Webinar Title: Strengthening midwifery training in Africa through international exchange

Join Us for The AFREhealth Webinar by the Health Professions Education Research Technical Working Group (HPER TWG) in collaboration with Seed Global Health

The World Health Organisation State of the World’s Midwifery (SOWM) report calls for increased investment in preservice education with emphasis on hands on training. In 2019, the ICM, UNICEF, WHO and UNFPA jointly developed and launched a comprehensive, evidence-based framework for action to strengthen midwifery education as a launchpad to attain universal health coverage by 2030. This webinar shares lessons and opportunities for strengthening midwifery in Africa through international exchange with examples from West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa.
