Ireneous N. Dasoberi, Senior Program Manager

Ireneous has academic qualification in MSc Health Services Planning and Management; and MPhil Economics. He has about 10 years of experience in health project management and in health care Quality Improvement (QI), capacity building and application.

He served in various leadership positions during the implementation of Project Fives Alives! (PFA!), a large-scale maternal & child health project in Ghana, which contributed to improving maternal & child health outcomes. Serving in the position of Deputy Director of PFA!, he played a critical role in the strategic planning of the project scale-up and implementation nation-wide.

With Ubora Quality Institute as a Senior Improvement Advisor, Ireneous managed a project to initiate the integration and sustainability of QI in the Ghanaian healthcare system; and also provided QI project design and capacity building support to an Institute for Healthcare Improvement - Ethiopian Ministry of Health large-scale project for improving maternal and newborn health using a Quality Improvement approach. Other initiatives Ireneous supported as a Quality Improvement consultant include:
• A Preterm Birth Initiative in Uganda - a partnership between the UCSF and Makerere University School of Public Health, Uganda
• A Maikhanda Foundation project on reducing mortality of low birth weight babies in Malawi
• An Adaptive Learning Collaborative for maternal and newborn health services improvement in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana
