Dr Onesmus Gachuno is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Faculty in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology , Faculty of Medicine in University of Nairobi. He has twenty one years clinical experience in reproductive health, teaching, conducting operation research and overseeing programs.

He was previously Director of MEPI Kenya and has been a PI of several grants. Onesmus was previously the technical lead of PMTCT in the teaching hospitals of the University of Nairobi for 10 years and also served in Technical Working Group of PMTCT hosted in the Ministry of Health. He has also served in the National Technical Working Group of Preterm Birth Initiative. He has also served as a working Group member and country Lead for AFYA BORA Fellowship Training for 10 years. Onesmus has been a member of the AFREhealth Governing Council since inception in 2016.
