Antony Matsika, BBS, MBA, PhD Student

He is currently the programs coordinator for HEPI Program (PETRA), MEPI-Junior Faculty program (PERFECT), NCD-Lifespan (ENRICH) and SANTHE programs at the University of Zimbabwe Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

He serves as the chairperson of the sub-committee on logistics for the AFREhealth Local Organizing Committee.  He has been involved extensively in providing oversight, coordination, and organization of various conferences and workshops.

In 2015, as the Senior Administrator of MEPI, he was instrumental in the successful hosting of the MEPI Symposium by University of Zimbabwe in Harare. He handled the logistics portfolio focusing on travel, accommodation, communication, and security. For the past 10 years, he has provided oversight and coordinated logistics support for participants attending MEPI and AFREhealth Symposia.

He has also been actively providing leadership and coordination of strategic planning, faculty development and other training workshops, some of them involving regional and international collaborators travelling from South Africa, UK and USA.

Since the emergence of COVID-19 he has provided leadership in organizing virtual training workshops. He is a holder of Masters in Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University and currently in the final stages of PhD in Management.
